なんか is an informal colloquial form of など; both exemplify, meaning, "such as," "things like."

Wouldn't it be (Wouldn't we be able to find it) in a place like Sears?
 
• noun + など／なんか + predicate of undesirability or contempt
橋本さんなんかに頼めませんよ。
We cannot possibly ask a (incompetent) person like Hashimoto.
 
• verb-plain + など + と言う = say such as thing/say things like
もう帰るなどと言わないでくださいよ。Please don't say you want to go home.
 
• adjective-plain + など + と言う = say such as thing/say things like
その映画はつまらなかったなどと言っていました。
He said the movie was boring.

※など often replaces は、が、を except for emphasis.
        ジョーンズさんなど（が）来ました。Jones and others came.

※は、が、を、に、で、へ 、から、と、の may follow など.
        ブラウンさんなどから手紙が来ました。
